<p>Today, you have a say in what’s built in your neighborhood. Under Prop 45, decisions about what gets built near your home, your children’s school, and your water supply would be made with less information, less public input, and fewer ways to protect yourself.</p>

<h2>Silences community voices in favor of corporate polluters.</h2>

<p>Prop 45 doesn’t include a single requirement to lower your housing costs or utility bills. Instead, it shifts costs onto you: when polluters aren’t required to clean up their pollution, taxpayers pay to remove cancer-causing chemicals from our drinking water and contaminated lands. The independent non-partisan Legislative Analyst's Office estimates Prop 45 could cost taxpayers as much as $100 million every year.</p>
